Debugging basics
Read errors, inspect state, and test small changes.
Start with a reproducible case
Write down the steps that trigger the issue and what you expected. Change one thing at a time so you can tell which change affected the result.
Read the first useful app frame
In a stack trace, find the first relevant frame belonging to your own code. Inspect its values and assumptions with a breakpoint.
Test the edges
Try empty input, missing data, a failed request, rotation, and repeated taps. Avoid logging private data, credentials, or tokens.
Try it yourself
Introduce a deliberate incorrect view ID in a small sample, diagnose it, then undo it and explain the cause.
