Your files stay with you.
Nothing is uploaded
Every converter and editor on CodeLabX (images, PDFs, Word documents and icons) runs inside your browser. The files you add are read and changed on your own computer or phone. They are never sent to us or to anyone else, and we cannot see them. Close the tab and they are gone.
Check it yourself
Open any tool once, then turn off your Wi-Fi or mobile data and convert a file. It still works, because nothing needs to be sent anywhere.
Built on open-source tools
The conversions use well-known open-source libraries that anyone can inspect:
- PDF.js: reads and draws PDF pages (by Mozilla)
- pdf-lib: creates and edits PDFs
- heic2any: opens iPhone HEIC photos
- mammoth: reads Word documents
- pdfmake: lays out PDFs from Word
- docx: writes Word documents
- imagetracerjs: traces images into SVG
- fflate: makes ZIP files
What is stored in your browser
CodeLabX does not need an account. A few preferences (like your UI Playground draft and your analytics choice) are kept in your browser’s local storage. Clear the site’s data in your browser to remove them.
Analytics
If you allow it, CodeLabX uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which tools are popular. It loads only after you choose Allow, does not use advertising features, and shortens your IP address. It never sees your files. If you choose No thanks, no analytics code runs.
YouTube videos
Video pages load the YouTube player, which connects your browser to YouTube; playback starts only when you press Play. YouTube processes data under its own policies: Google Privacy Policy · YouTube Terms of Service.
Hosting
Firebase Hosting serves the website itself and may process standard request data, like any web server. No databases, accounts, payments or file-processing servers are used.
